AFK_Frostcrag

Version: 1.1
Date: 6/16/2011
Author: Dwip

Overview

Renovates Frostcrag Tower with better lighting, furnishings, and display cases. An Oblivion gate is included for post-main quest sigil hunting enjoyment.

You MUST have the Frostcrag Tower DLC to use AFK_Frostcrag.

AFK_Frostcrag attempts to be a low-impact, low-frills upgrade to the Frostcrag Tower DLC for those of us who liked the idea, thought the implementation needed a little help, but just want a home and not a lot of extras.

AFK_Frostcrag uses the stock layout of Frostcrag Tower from the DLC, but adds the following features:

Requirements

Installation

Before installing AFK_Frostcrag, make sure you evacuate any and all containers in Frostcrag Spire.

Installing with BAIN (preferred):

  1. Uninstall any previous version of AFK_Frostcrag.
  2. Move the AFK_Frostcrag archive to your \Oblivion Mods\Bash Installers\ directory.
  3. Open Wrye Bash, and click the Installers tab. Select AFK_Frostcrag.
  4. Make sure the 00 Core sub-package is selected.
  5. Select either the 01 COBL or 01 Non-COBL sub-package, depending on if you want COBL support or not. Make sure the proper AFK_Frostcrag.esp is selected.
  6. Select the 02 Furniture package of your choice. You must pick one and only one of these.
  7. Right click the AFK_Frostcrag package in the packages list and click Install.
  8. In the Mods tab, make sure AFK_Frostcrag.esp is selected.
  9. Make sure everything is in the proper order either manually or by using BOSS.
  10. Rebuild your Bashed Patch.

Installing Manually:

  1. Uninstall any previous version of AFK_Frostcrag by deleting AFK_Frostcrag.esp and the Data/meshes/Dwip/AFK_Frostcrag and Data/textures/Dwip/AFK_Frostcrag directories.
  2. Open the AFK_Frostcrag archive.
  3. In the archive, in the 00 Core directory, select all files and directories and copy them to Oblivion/Data.
  4. If you want COBL support, copy AFK_Frostcrag.esp from the 01 COBL directory to Oblivion/Data. Otherwise copy AFK_Frostcrag.esp from the 01 Non-COBL directory to Oblivion/Data.
  5. Decide which type of furniture you prefer, move to the 02 directory for that type, select all files and directories, and copy them to Oblivion/Data.
  6. In your mod manager of choice, make sure AFK_Frostcrag.esp is selected.
  7. Make sure everything is in the proper order either manually or by using BOSS.

Uninstalling

AFK_Frostcrag moves several of the vanilla Frostcrag furniture items. Failure to follow these instructions could lead to dramatic problems with the interior of Frostcrag Spire.

  1. Load your save with AFK_Frostcrag installed.
  2. Make sure to get anything you want to keep out of the containers in Frostcrag Spire.
  3. In the console, type StartQuest AFKFrostcragUninstall. Wait a minute.
  4. Save somewhere outside of Frostcrag Spire and quit Oblivion.
  5. Delete AFK_Frostcrag.esp from Oblivion/Data, and delete these two directories: Data/meshes/Dwip/AFK_Frostcrag and Data/textures/Dwip/AFK_Frostcrag.

Compatibility

AFK_Frostcrag is likely not compatable with any other Frostcrag overhaul mod, such as Frostcrag Reborn.

AFK_Frostcrag is compatable with:

AFK_Frostcrag should load after both mods.

AFK_Frostcrag will work properly with patches affecting the Frostcrag Spire teleporters, such as the Open Cities Patch and Sandman53's Kvatch Rebuilt Patch.
